Rasmuson Foundation initiated the Arts Educator Fellowships to encourage the reconnection of artists who are teachers to the practice of their art
Created in 2001 to support and recognize Alaskan artists, the fund was established by the Boochever family to honor Connie Boochever, a longtime supporter of the arts, who passed away in 1999.
This grant supports of high-quality arts and cultural programs for youth that emphasize skill acquisition and direct participation.
The Alaska Literary Awards were established in 2014 by the Alaska Arts and Culture Foundation, through a generous gift from Peggy Shumaker and Joe Usibelli. The Alaska State Council on the Arts administers the program.
