Alaska State Council on the Arts Launches "America 250 Alaska" Grant Program
ANCHORAGE, AK – The Alaska State Council on the Arts (ASCA) has launched the America 250 Alaska grant program, a one-time funding opportunity for Alaskan organizations. This program will distribute $50,000 in grants to support projects that honor the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States.
Grant awards will range from $5,000 to $10,000. This initiative is supported by federal funds from the National Endowment for the Arts and a general fund match from the State of Alaska.
Projects may focus exclusively on the anniversary or include a special America 250 component within a larger project. This includes, but is not limited to, public art, local exhibits, educational programming, and living history projects.

Alaska State Council on the Arts (ASCA) represents, supports and advances the creative endeavors of individuals, organizations and agencies throughout Alaska. ASCA is a public corporation housed in the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development, and is governed by eleven council members appointed by the Governor. It is supported with general funds appropriated by the Alaska State Legislature and partnership funds through the National Endowment for the Arts, with additional support for arts education programs from Rasmuson Foundation.
