Silver Hand Permit
Alaska State Council on the Arts
161 Klevin Street, Suite 102
Anchorage, AK 99508
The seal indicates that the artwork on which it appears is created by hand in Alaska by an individual Alaska Native artist. Only original contemporary and traditional Alaska Native artwork, not reproductions or manufactured work, may be identified and marketed with the Silver Hand seal.
The Silver Hand image is protected under Alaska trademark statute and regulation and may only be used by individuals or organizations with Alaska State Council on the Arts’ explicit written permission.
To be eligible for a two year Silver Hand permit an Alaska Native artist must be a full time resident of Alaska, at least 18 years old, and provide documentation of membership in a federally recognized Alaska Native tribe.
The Silver Hand seal may only be attached to original work that is produced in the state of Alaska.
Gather the following materials to include with your application/renewal form
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
